It was early, so early, Spice could see the dew being painted neatly upon the grass. She stretched herself awake and hopped quietly beneath the space she called a door. As she looked around a drift of soft, sweet air blew in through her nose and whispered around her ears.
As she hopped towards the garden for her breakfast dew flipped throught the air like jumping beans, By the time she reached the garden, her feet were wet and matted.
She slipped through the small wire fence protecting the fruits and vegetables from hungry mouths, and nestled down to eat.

They met that sunny day.
After Spice had eaten a hearty breakfast of strawberries, she decided to explore the Strawberry Hill farm area a bit. Eventually the shiniing sun came up and the farmers and animals began to rustle about.
Spice remained hidden next to a large haystack. and watched the creatures around her sneakily. If she was seen, she could be taken back to her dreaded prison.
After watching everyday, after she arrived at Strawberry Hill, she began to recognize the humans as prison guards.
There was a female, it looked like. with thick gold hair, usually bradied. Spice wasn’t sure but thought her name was said to be Marta.
And there was her mate David, a muscular figure with a head and beard full of strange looking brown fur, Spice thought humans looked funny, with only one small patch of fur on their heads and occasionally a patch by their mouth.
And then was there kit River Lynn. River Lynn looked quite alot like her mother and was very short, but was much too rowdy to be of much liking to Spice.
Anyway, Marta was in the barn milking cows, assisted by River Lynn, and David was in the horse pasture. The coast was clear, she hopped into the open space and headed to a small pasture bordered by a short white, picket fence. It looked beautiful with bright green grass, and covered with dandilions and clovers. But little did she know, someone else would be accompanying her on her tasty snack.
